Trevasco Poodles

Continuing in the direction started by my mother in the late 1960s, Trevasco has grown to be the "go to" place to source your next family member.  We have grown from our first litter in 2011, to having puppies placed in all states in Australia, puppies in New Zealand and some in Singapore.

Poodles in need

Trevasco Poodles

In 1965, Nina Gregory and her family came to Australia, and she had a dream of owning Dobermanns, after spending some time as a kennel hand in a famous breeding kennel in the UK, and falling in love with the breed.

In the late 1960s, her dream started to become reality when she bought her first Dobermann and showed him to his championship title.  She also bought her first dam and registered the kennel name of Trevasco with the entity that we now know as Dogs Queensland.

She also attained another dream, that of becoming a conformation judge.

After breeding many best in show winners, and dog of the year winners, she retired from judging, showing and breeding in 2009, and passed her kennel stud books, and the prefix to me, Elizabeth Chambers.

Very few now know the Trevasco name for Dobermanns, but we are well known for our poodles.

Our passion is for the standards, but we have also had many toy litters and some minis as well.

Whilst we no longer have toys, we do have one mini and we hope that a recent visit to the AI vet will result in a litter.

Watch our blog for news and watch our puppy page for the news on our planned litters.

At Trevasco, we do not breed our girls more than once a year, some not even that often.  We do consider the "market" and know that a lot of the smaller sized poodles are finding their way into rescue.  We have a Facebook group with thousand of members dedicated to Poodles in Need in Australia.

We also have a page for Trevasco Poodles.
